Everspark: Unbound - Character Sheet + Mechanics
A downloadable game
Everspark is a very narrative game that puts the story onto the players and GM. I love this, but also want to have a character sheet that helps me remember the consequences, details, and mechanics of the game.
The provided character sheet is purposefully simple because I value function and ease of use above all when playing my TTRPGs. The changes and additions I made are:
- The Conditions list and duration is to alleviate some mental burden and an over reliance on Sparks. The lines underneath are also to write in any custom conditions or ones that make sense based on the fiction and your game.
- The inventory list with six slots follows the philosophy of Everspark only caring about the most important or iconic items your character has. As a fan of games like Cairn, Into the Odd, and Knave, I enjoy limited inventories. And I find it helpful to be able to write down a few items that can spark my imagination during play as new challenges occur. Again, the blank lines are just for any extra notes on items.
- The results table on the top right of the sheet is copy and pasted from my other project: https://emerance.itch.io/everspark-codified-d20. This is meant to help players quickly reference and decide how to interpret a Skill or Fate check.
- Lastly, the d6 consequence table is what it sounds like. Suggestions for consequences on a failed check or low roll. Using the table is not necessary every single time! It is just there to help groups decide what might happen if they feel stuck or unsure.
